Below are links to the Douglas County School District's Policies and Administrative Regulations. Board Policies must be adopted by the Board of Trustees. Some Policies are supported by documents called Administrative Regulations which are not adopted by the Board, but serve as guidelines to assist in the implementation of Policies.

| Objectives |
These are policies and regulations regarding the educational philosophy and goal statements of the district, along with federally required policies relating to the district as a whole. |
| Program |
These are policies and regulations regarding the curriculum and instructional issues of the district, e.g. special education issues, testing, and textbooks. |
| Certificated Staff |
This section contains policies pertaining to those employees who must have professional licenses to perform their jobs, e.g. teachers, principals, etc. |
| Classified Staff |
This section pertains to policies and regulations governing those employees who are not required to have professional licenses to perform their jobs, e.g. custodians, secretaries, bus drivers, etc. |
| Students |
These are policies and regulations that pertain to student issues, e.g. attendance, grades, and access to student records. Parents will find the answers to most of their questions about policies that govern student issues here. |
| Finances |
This section contains policies and regulations pertaining to district finances, e.g., budgets, purchasing, and payroll. |
| Property |
This section contains policies and regulations pertaining to how the district manages its facilities, e.g. inventory, community use of facilities, etc. |
| Operations |
Policies and regulations pertaining to the daily operation of schools can be found in this section, e.g., school calendar, emergency evacuation procedure, free and reduced rate meals, etc. |
| Community |
This section contains policies and regulations regarding the district's interaction with the community as a whole, e.g. communications with the Board, advisory committes, and relations with community groups. |
