Level One: New Teacher Professional Development
	All certified teachers and administrators new to Douglas County School District (DCSD) are required to participate in Level One training. Level One consists of six full days held throughout the school year. Days One and Two are held prior to the teacher work days at the beginning of the school year. Topics include district procedures, classroom management and environment, lesson design and planning, and instructional strategies, including Thinking Maps®. Following each day of training, Professional Development trainers will observe, conference, and coach each individual participant.
